Our story

Two friends, one storefront, a lot of local art.

Co-founder Jenny Venegas

In October 2016, Stephanie Howerton and Jenny Venegas opened The Local Artisan Collective at 2371 Kiesel Ave, at The Junction in downtown Ogden.

The idea was simple. Northern Utah is full of talented makers, and they deserved a place where neighbors could find their work, meet them in person, and learn what they know.

Founding members like glassblower Mike Hurst and adornment artist Roxanne Vigos helped fill the shelves. Rene Venegas, a 16th-generation silversmith, brought a family craft centuries in the making to the bench.

Today the Collective is home to more than 30 resident artisans, a full calendar of classes, a walk-in craft bar called Creation Station, and parties that end with everyone holding something they made.

It's not just a store. It's an experience. Come see for yourself.

What we believe

Local first

Every piece on our shelves is made by someone who lives nearby.

Hands-on

The best way to love art is to make some. Walk in and try.

Everyone's welcome

Beginners, kids, pros and the merely curious.
